How do you achieve permanent transformation?

Consistency. (Thanks Captain Obvious)

But, really, how do you stay consistent?

You do something that you can stick with, not just in the good times, but when things are really tough.

Make it as simple and as easy as possible. I’ve never seen extreme and rapid methods produce lasting results.

In order for transformation to be permanent, it requires a permanent change of lifestyle.

This is why so few people actually lose weight and keep it off.

Why is it so incredibly difficult?  And what can we do about it?

It’s because it requires a significant change of lifestyle … permanently.

Yes, fat loss is simple (not the same thing as easy).  It’s fair to say, it is one of the most well understood processes in science but actually putting into practice is not easy. (If it was, we wouldn’t have an obesity crisis on our hands).

It requires you to change habits and behaviors permanently.  And our human brains are powerfully resistant to change.  It’s a survival mechanism that probably kept us alive for thousands of years.

Change meant risk.  Danger.  Unfamiliar.

You see, to change requires 2 things.

First, you must leave behind something familiar.  That’s already hard for humans, who are creatures of comfort.  But secondly, you must move into something UNFAMILIAR.  New.  And that is also uncomfortable, even frightening for some.

Not only that, but now, in this unfamiliar environment, you’re going to struggle, and screw up, and feel like a failure some days.  Is it any wonder that diets have a 95% failure rate?

You see, diets introduce way too much change, way too fast.  Our brains can’t keep up.  We get exhausted, and we throw up our hands, and say “Screw it all”, and go back to the familiar old behaviors that kept us stuck.

The familiar behaviors aren’t hard.  It’s not a struggle.  And in a world that feels overwhelming … in the age of social media, and FOMO, where it feels like we’re trying to drink from a firehose … no wonder we go back.

You’re not a failure.  You’re not a bad person.  You’re a human.

So, how on Earth can we produce lasting change?  How can we be in the 5% of people who lose weight successfully and keep it off?

Well, you’re reading the words of someone who has not only lost 100lbs, but maintained that weight loss.  (Weight loss success is considered losing 10% of your body weight, and keeping it off for more than 12 months.)

So, in order to achieve permanent transformation (and never have to diet again) you have to accept one thing:  You’re not going to be able to live the lifestyle that created the body you want to change.

Re-read that last sentence, and let it sink in.

You can’t keep doing what you’ve always done.  I say this because I want people to have realistic expectations about what is required to actually achieve a lasting, permanent transformation.

This is why I created my life-changing Program, Lifestyle-180.  It will not only teach you everything you need to know, but you will have the guidance, support and accountability to put it into practice, so that you are on the path to permanent weight loss.  You’ll never have to diet again.

Freedom Nutrition Coaching exists for 1 reason.  To get people life-changing results, so that they can achieve their dream body, while NEVER having to diet again.
